Since 1971, SWASAP has been opening doors of educational opportunity for disadvantaged low income, first generation, veteran, and differently abled students. SWASAP provides its members the guidance and support needed to foster activities necessary to ensure these students achieve their educational goals.

SWASAP represents the states of Arkansas (AASAP), Louisiana (LASAP), New Mexico (TRIO New Mexico), Oklahoma (ODSA) and Texas (TASSSP).
