SWASAP is dedicated to advancing and defending equal opportunities for students from low-income backgrounds and/or students who are potential first generation college students, students with disabilities, Veterans, and students underrepresented in postsecondary education
SWASAP directly serves our TRiO students through Scholarship Opportunities and Student Leadership Conferences
SWASAP provides networking opportunities that include assistance and exchange of best practices to foster target populations to persist in achieving their goals
Members gain access to current “members only” information on the SWASAP website that includes presentations, research documents, and the most current statistical data pertinent to TRiO programs
SWASAP often provides assistance for each state association in sending representatives to attend the COE Policy Seminar.

Active Member - $40.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Active membership shall be open to all professionals currently or formerly employed by educational opportunity programs (TRIO) who hold current membership in a SWASAP affiliated state association. The state associations are: Arkansas Association of Student Assistance Programs, Louisiana Association of Student Assistance Programs, TRIO New Mexico, Oklahoma Division of Student Assistance Programs, Texas Association of Student Special Services Programs

Active members have voice and vote in the Association.

Honorary Member - Free Subscription period: Unlimited Honorary membership shall be available to any appropriate business, industry, foundation, or other organization whose goals and interests prompt them to make a $500 contribution in either general support of the Association or support to special projects of the Board. Honorary members are to receive such
recognition as may be deemed appropriate by the board. Honorary members are entitled to
voice, but no vote in the Association.

Non Member - Free Subscription period: Unlimited Associate membership shall be open to those persons committed to the goals, purposes, and activities of SWASAP who do not qualify for active membership. Associate members have voice, but no vote in the Association.

Sponsor and Exhibitor - Free Subscription period: Unlimited

Student Membership - $2.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments This membership level is for our students/participants in our TRIO Programs.
