YEARS OF SERVICE (increments of 5)- Honors TRIO Professionals who have worked 5, 10 15, 20, 25, 30, 35+ years. SWASAP will recognize these individuals at the 55th Annual Conference. (See flyer for banquet details)
Conference attendees will receive a follow-up email regarding their number of years of service in TRIO. But you can also complete this Google form to confirm your YEARS of SERVICE by October 15, 2026.
Recognition Awards
Legacy AwardThis award recognizes outstanding SWASAP members who: Demonstrated a significant contribution to the area of educational equity. Exhibits professionalism and leadership through current and/or previous endeavors. Inspires innovation and/or influences positive change in the world around them. Demonstrates leadership through dedication and service to SWASAP and the TRIO community. And has been involved or worked in TRIO programs for 15 plus years. Nomination Procedures: Complete Nomination Form- Provide a narrative about the nominee on a separate sheet of paper addressing the following: - Describe and outline the nominee’s length of service to TRIO programs - Provide other pertinent information supporting the nomination - Provide a photo of the nominee Application and all supporting documents must be received by: Thursday, October 15, 2026 | Outstanding Service AwardThis award recognizes outstanding SWASAP members who: Demonstrated continuing dedication to ensure educational equity. Professionalism in implementing services or activities in his/her program and community. Their contributions to the TRIO community go above and beyond what is expected for the success of his/her students and respective program. Excelled in providing services to TRIO and/or to SWASAP at the local, state, or regional levels. And has been a member of SWASAP TRIO for at least 5 years. Nomination Procedures: - Provide a narrative about the nominee on a separate sheet of paper addressing the following: - Describe and outline the nominee’s length of service to TRIO programs - Provide other pertinent information supporting the nomination - Provide a photo of the nominee Application and all supporting documents must be received by: Thursday, October 15, 2026 | Rising Star AwardThis award recognizes outstanding SWASAP members who: Excelled in providing services to TRIO and/or to SWASAP at the local, state, or regional levels And worked in TRIO Programs for three years or less Nomination Procedures: Describe and outline the nominee’s length of service to TRIO programs - Provide other pertinent information supporting the nomination - Provide a photo of the nominee Application and all supporting documents must be received by: Thursday, October 15, 2026 |
